The Ocean Protection Council (OPC) is hiring a Staff Services Manager I (Specialist) who will act as the Tribal Affairs and Community Engagement Specialist to lead and foster tribal affairs and coastal community engagement related to state ocean and coastal programs in California. The Tribal Affairs and Community Engagement Specialist will be responsible for facilitating collaborative and coordinated state agency efforts to consult with California Native American tribes and engage with coastal communities on priority topics impacting California’s coast and ocean, ensuring OPC programs reflect tribal and community needs. The incumbent will additionally support OPC’s Tribal Liaison on OPC’s broader tribal consultation and engagement efforts.
Pay: $7,172- $8,910/month
Location: OPC staff are required to work from CNRA headquarters located in Sacramento, CA a minimum of two days a week (Mondays and Tuesdays).
