A special emphasis is placed on providing education programs to underserved communities primarily around the South San Francisco Bay, teaching community members about places they can observe birds locally, and the important role birds play in maintaining healthy, functional ecosystems. The Education Program Coordinator’s role may include helping out with various other aspects of SFBBO’s work, including bird and vegetation surveys, habitat restoration activities, and volunteer events. This role will report to the Habitats Science Director. This is a hybrid position offering remote work flexibility with mandatory in-person attendance required for educational events and training sessions.
