WRA is seeking a senior-level open space planner to lead work and expand our open space and public access planning practice. This position requires an energetic, driven, goal-oriented professional to lead open space planning and business development efforts for the company. The Senior Open Space Planner will be involved in leading WRA’s public access/open space practice which involves developing park master plans and supporting trail projects for park and open space districts throughout the SF Bay Area and across the state. While these projects are sometimes in a more urban setting, more commonly they align with WRA’s decades of experience of working in natural systems and tend to be larger, open-space projects. Depending on the expertise and discipline of the incumbent, you may also support (or oversee) preparing CEQA and NEPA documents and/or developing design documents. Our practice is growing and we are currently working on several highly visible, regionally significant, and publicly beneficial open space projects that involve habitat restoration, climate resiliency, and equitable public access.
Pay: $110,000 to $170,000/ year
Location: Based in one of WRA’s SF Bay Area offices, or potentially remote within California.
