Provide Communications and Outreach services for a non-profit organization focused on wildland fire safety in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties. Under policy guidance from the Board of Directors, Specialist will work collaboratively with our board members and executive coordinator.
The Specialist will provide services as an independent contractor, responsible for updated, modernized website design, content development and ongoing management of content for the website, social media, newsletters and local newspapers on behalf of the DFSC.

This position is grant funded. Retention of a Communication and Outreach Specialist is dependent on program funding. The work load is estimated at 10-20 hour a week. Since work is seasonal, there will be times of less activity. Compensation range is between $35 and $45 per hour, depending on experience. Specialist will set their own work hours, provide their own work space and equipment as an independent contractor.
