Job Description (brief) The Information Science and Technology Program at the Lab of Ornithology is currently seeking to hire an ecological statistician at the level of Research Associate to lead the analysis of data from a large biodiversity data set from the eBird citizen science project in order to estimate species distributions and relative abundances of the Western Hemisphere's shorebird species across their full annual life cycles. This work entails both basic and applied research in order to advance methods for the construction of species distribution models (SDM) that use eBird data. The successful candidate will work within the existing SDM research team and be responsible for directing the development, deployment, and refinement of SDMs focused on shorebirds.
