||Save The Bay is seeking an experienced Communications Director who will advance our ambitious strategic plan to protect and restore San Francisco Bay, growing our visibility, image, reach and influence, through effective and engaging communications.
This is an opportunity for a creative and strategic communications professional to play a leadership role in one of the Bay Area's most influential and celebrated advocacy organizations. The successful candidate will broaden and deepen public support for Save The Bay’s solutions to the unprecedented challenges climate change and regional population growth pose to the Bay and Bay Area. Our urgent priorities include re-establishing 100,000 acres of healthy Bay wetlands, reducing Bay pollution from cities, and accelerating communities’ adaptation to rising seas and extreme weather with green infrastructure.
Save The Bay employs talented, focused professionals in a collaborative and congenial work place, with a commitment to work-life balance. The Communications Director reports to the Executive Director; supervises a three-person communications team, consultants and vendors; serves on Save The Bay’s senior management team and works closely with all organization departments.
