Description The California Watershed Protection Fund supports projects designed to benefit the water quality of many of California's watersheds and their ecosystems. In 2017, applications will be accepted related to the following: watersheds and coastal waters of Southern California Bight with an emphasis on the Los Angeles Area and the Santa Ana River, especially in Riverside and San Bernardino counties, Monterey Bay (including Pajaro River, Elkhorn Slough and local Santa Cruz County watersheds), Humboldt Bay, Sacramento River, San Joaquin River, Sacramento/San Joaquin Delta, and Russian River. 2017 Funding is awarded in November however, the application process ends August 15
